About Us
We launched our program and began training for our inaugural outdoor track & field season during 2019. Our coaches have years of experience coaching at the youth and high school levels and are excited to bring the latest in speed development and training practices to the Bay County community. Coach Damion Dunlap is hurdle coaching specialist who is also a USA Track & Field Level 2 and SafeSport Certified coach and is excited to train the next generation of athletes.
BAY BLAZE
2026 Track & Field
Due to various factors, we’ve made the difficult choice to not have a 2026 track and field season. The biggest barrier is the unavailability of a track facility for training. Unfortunately, despite numerous attempts over a span of several months to negotiate a fair rate to use the track at Tommy Oliver Stadium, we’ve only been offered the published rate of $300/hr with a 2 hr minimum per session. For comparsion, 2025 was the first time we’ve ever been asked to pay a fee to use the track and the rate was $25/hr.
Personally, I have a deep burden to invest more time and energy into Truth Fellowship Community Church where I pastor while also taking on additional responsibilities (including more frequent travel) at my day job.
I’ve literally coached track each summer since 2012 and I still have an immense love and appreciate for the sport. I’m hopeful that circumstances change in the future and I’m always available to help families and upcoming groups navigate track and field so please don’t hesitate to reach out.
